About Sasha
I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) Nutritional Anthropologist turned Health Communicator with over 12 years of experience in the multifaceted medical, nutrition, healthcare, biotech, and fitness industries.
Not only do I have a deep technical knowledge of nutrition and health issues, which allows me to authoritatively teach, train, write, and speak on various topics from clinical nutrition, to food science, to public health, but I also have a deep, resounding passion for putting forth innovative ways to communicate health topics to maximize health outcomes.
I have professional experience as a health communicator, content writer, public health and marketing researcher, instructional designer, university professor, program director, and NGO consultant.
I lead like I write: with humility, curiosity, and a strategic vision.
I am a lifelong student. In addition to my BA in Anthropology and MS in Food and Nutrition, I have a postgraduate diploma in health communications, I have four health and nutrition coaching certifications (PNL1, CHN [AFPA], CHHC [AFPA], CHWC [WWA]), and multiple technical specializations (Plant-Based Nutrition Specialist, Autoimmune Nutrition Specialist, Gut Health Nutrition Specialist, Health Behavior Change Specialist).
Past clients and employers have included: UN World Food Programme, Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Panama (INCAP), Ethicon by Johnson&Johnson, Medtronic, AFPA, ISSA, Sworkit, Action Against Hunger, DoYou, and more.
My pronouns are she/her and I am a dual US-Guatemalan citizen currently living in Guatemala with my husband, two children, and two dogs.
